Koch Doors Is
An Industry Leader
Koch and Company was established in 1989 when they purchased their first building, motivated by a love of wood working. They have grown substantially over the years into a market leader with facilities in 12 locations and over 700 employees. Every aspect of the Koch Door product is rooted in a desire to make the highest quality door that stands the test of time. Koch doors is always innovating and developing new options and technologies to meet the changes in styles, price points and supply chain.
The "Koch" Difference
Hand sanding
The process starts with a wide belt sander which smooths out the wood facades. Then, Koch takes it up another knotch but running it in their specialized sanding/inspection booth. Under black light, attack any adhesive residue for a super clean factory finish. The final step is hand sanding to perfection.

Lag bolt construction
Lag bolt construction is a signature feature of Koch Doors. It keeps all the joints tight together, reducing cracking of the painted surface.
These long metal bolts are far stronger than the wood dowels used by other manufacturers. With the styles and rails bolted together, it greatly increases the stability of the door panel.

Engineered product
Allows for superior construction and durability. The door panels feature a special 45 lb density industrial grade interior core.
The core is so strong and dense that it has the same screw holding capabilities as wood, with incredible stability. No special blocking is needed for hardware such as kick plates, doors closures, and panic bars. This unique construction is why Koch doors are so reliable.
Amercan made
Koch Doors is proud to call themselves an American made manufacturer of high quality doors. They make all their own parts with 12 locations and 700 Employees. They are also Environmentally friendly company doing things like recycling all wood a waste materials.
Market leading value
Koch Doors' process, technology and superior materials deliver a higher quality product than its competitors, giving it a superior value for a wide variety of projects.

Other companies are even forced to go to an engineered core for pocket doors in order to keep them stable.
Koch is said to be one of the most stable MDF doors on the market The lag bolt construction becomes even more important with an MDF Painted Door - The last thing you want is that paint joint popping open and coming apart.
A Solid popular wood edge is standard on all MDF doors automatically ( better to screw and hinge too)
Also a solid wood edge band on outer and inner stile edges.
Very high quality primer applied to all MDF doors . Available up to 10 foot tall on fire rated doors and up to 5 foot wide.
